Someday and One Day Are Not Really Days

Someday and One Day Are Not Really Days

Last night, I watched a pastor answer a question about one of the biggest mistakes people make. His response was simple: we think we have more time.

That stayed with me, and I had to sit with this because I know it's true.

So many times, we say, “Someday I’m going to start,” or “One day I’m going to take better care of myself.” But "Someday and One day" are not really days.

We keep putting off our health, making excuses, waiting for the perfect time, or telling ourselves we'll start when life slows down. The truth is, life may never slow down. We have to decide that our health is a priority today.

The sobering reality is that we don't know how much time we have, and that's regardless of age. And for the time we do have left, why not spend it taking better care of ourselves so that we can remain active, capable, and independent?

Start where you are. You don’t have to change everything overnight, but there has to be a change. Take the walk. Drink the water. Eat the healthier meal. Make the fresh juice or protein smoothie. Skip the dessert. Whatever it is, take the next step.

Time is of the essence.
